We are e-Caph, We Build Solutions
e-CAPH (Empowering Community Action for Peace and Health) is a youth-led civil society organization established in 2011 with a mission to promote sustainable development through community-driven solutions. Rooted in the belief that empowered youth and women are catalysts for transformation, e-CAPH works to advance human rights, gender equity, peacebuilding, and reproductive health across Northern Nigeria.
Goal of e-Caph
The overall goal of e-CAPH (Enhancing Communities Actions for Peace and Better Health Initiative) is to build inclusive, peaceful, and resilient communities where human rights, gender equity, good health, and environmental sustainability are upheld as shared values.
e-CAPH seeks to empower individuals and communities—especially women, youth, and marginalized groups—through education, advocacy, and meaningful participation in social and governance processes. By increasing awareness and knowledge of human rights, gender equity, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), the organization promotes informed decision-making, responsible citizenship, and social transformation.
Furthermore, e-CAPH is committed to reducing inter-ethnic conflicts, promoting peaceful coexistence, and strengthening social cohesion as foundations for sustainable development. The organization also works to expand access to modern contraceptives and reproductive health services for adolescent girls and women, thereby reducing maternal mortality and enabling individuals to exercise control over their reproductive choices.
In addition, e-CAPH champions environmental sustainability and improved sanitation as essential pillars of community health and well-being. By integrating climate-sensitive and eco-friendly practices, the organization contributes to the preservation of natural resources and the creation of safer, healthier living environments.
Lastly, e-CAPH advocates for transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in governance through anti-corruption campaigns and civic engagement initiatives. Through these combined efforts, e-CAPH aims to nurture a just, peaceful, and prosperous society where everyone—regardless of background—can live with dignity, opportunity, and hope.
